Plot:
A story of faith of a young village girl named Elsa (Aunor) who claims that the Virgin Mary spoke to her. She shares her visions and starts to heal people making their village deal with their own needs and beliefs.

Awards:
Aunor won the Best Actress award for her role in the film at the local filmfest. The film's international awards are: The Bronze Hugo Prize (1983), Chicago International Film Festival and the slot as opening film for the 1983 Manila International Film Festival. It is also the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino's choice as one of the best films during the 80's.

Plot:
The film is about the fortunes of two noble clans in an insular province that suffered drastic shift with the occurrence of World War II.
