BY THE POOL OF THE PENINSULA
Manila, Ilocos Norte Rep. Imee Marcos was trashing men in plaid as looking too, well, rural. The bad news was, Bayan Muna Rep. Satur Ocampo, whose comrades still have a patent on the look, was seated beside her and couldn't stop an eye-brow from standing down. The good news was, Ka Satur was still in red but looked rural only in the sense that makes summer and Hawaii season-ally chic. He had agreed to be styled for this shoot, and had agreed to do it not only with Makati Rep. Teddy Boy Locsin, whose father, like Mr. Ocampo, was jailed during martial law, but with Imee, whose father was… well, martial law.

Mr. Locsin enjoyed a cocktail and the un-guarded conversation. Imee and Satur were on a first name basis, and assured everyone present that in Congress they do get along well enough to talk about bills. Separately, they talked about their clashing, contradicting lives, as well as the personal challenges of staying true and unblinking with respect to their present and future roles.

Call us romantics, but Teddy Boy Locsin having a good time at The Pen...You tell us peace and reconciliation aren't possible.
